What is SmartWork?
We live in an age where changes are taking place faster than at any given point in history. Ten years ago, would anyone believe that:
- The world’s largest store will not have a single branch?
- We will be switching on our phones through AI?
- The world will start getting tobacco smoke-free?
Our everyday life is changing dynamically.
This also concerns the way we work. #workingmodel
And SMARTWORK at Philip Morris is that kind of a change! It means worked-out rules of work. Our principles in terms of a balanced working week and the organization of meetings. #newwaysofworking Taking care of wellbeing—for yourself and for others. #wellbeing
So that we create a hybrid work culture together. #hybridwork Since everything around is changing, we are changing, too. And we do it #SMART
SmartWork through the eyes of our employees
What does that mean for you?
#SMARTWORK focuses on clever work organization. On what is important in making you efficient at work and in everyday duties. Both those at work and at home. It supports the work-life balance and introduces clear rules.

What do the employees say about SmartWork at Philip Morris?
Thanks to SmartWork, work is more friendly. I can choose when I work from home and when I’m at the office. This allows me to spend more time with the family because I save time on commuting. At the same time, I stay in contact with my colleagues since we can still meet at the office. The no-meetings hours are another benefit (we can’t schedule big meetings before 9:30 AM and after 4:00 PM). Everyone spends lots of time on calls and the periods with no meetings offer time to focus and do your tasks. Patryk, Consumer Experience
The beginnings of teleworking were a big challenge for me. Thanks to SmartWork, my workday is more organized. Looking at both myself and my colleagues, I’ve noticed that introducing the five principles of work was something we all needed. I have time for my own work and for a lunch break. Viki, Conventional Cigarettes
The no-meetings time at the beginning and the end of the workday allows for optimum planning of your own work and project meetings. I know when the breaks are, I can have a coffee and get back to work. And the time to sum up my work? Preferably on Friday, when, after a whole week of work, the afternoon is a no-meetings time which I can spend planning the next days and starting the weekend. 😊 Karol, Digital Solutions
